Two Shore Studios' Photos Accepted In Juried Competition

Shore Studios is pleased to announce RiverArts Chestertown, a vibrant community arts center whose mission is "to be the place where the Arts meet the community," accepted two drone photos from Sam Shoge into their August Juried Photography Exhibition.

Chestertown: Through the Fog and Ice and Schooner Martha White Foggy Morning will be on display at RiverArts from August 1 through September 3, 2018 along with other accepted work. An opening reception for the exhibition will be held during First Friday in Chestertown on August 3 from 5-8 PM.

RiverArts Juried Photography Event Description

“Fragility” is the theme of RiverArts Annual Juried Photography Show.  Photographers are challenged to create images that invoke a sense of fragility: delicacy, vulnerability, a passing moment, a threat of brokenness, frailty of life.  Photographs created from a wide range of subjects and techniques will challenge the viewers to engage with their eyes, their intellect and their emotions about our fragile existence.

The photographer grasps a fleeting slice of time to capture an image that expresses what the mind perceives and feels.  A strong image propels the photographer forward, inspiring the skillful use of tools to create a final image to be shared with others.
